N. Chas murder suspect arrested in New York

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC - North Charleston Police report that Raymond Prince, charged in the death of Delbert Cooper, was arrested in New York City on Sunday July 12, 2009.

Prince was wanted for the stabbing death of Delbert Cooper, who was killed at 2344 Elder Ave. in 2008.

According to a NYPD detective, Prince was arrested after he and another individual robbed a deli in Brooklyn, NY.

Spencer Pryor, Public Information Officer for the North Charleston Police Dept., reported that Investigators will work with New York officials to begin the process for Prince's extradition to South Carolina.
