Police seek help in mail thefts
Police believe the suspect is taking mail out of residential mailboxes and using victims' checking account information to purchase expensive items such as laptop computers and GPS units, police public information officer Capt. Stan Gragg said. The purchases are being made at several area Wal-Mart stores.
After the purchase, the suspect is returning the items to the store for cash refunds, Gragg said.
Police have released surveillance videos from several Walmart stores that show a man they think is responsible for the thefts. In two of the videos, he is wearing a white polo shirt with blue stripes and a blue Nike hat. In other videos, he is wearing a a polo shirt and a baseball cap.
